Why is my manual button e-cigarette battery not charging?

The number one reason a Joye 510, Joye eGo, T-Rex or Evolution-X battery will not charge properly is that it or the charger is dirty. Take a moist cloth and clean both the battery’s post (the middle “button” that sticks up when you look down inside of it) and the post inside of the charger (the thing that sticks out inside of the hole). Frequently, this solves the problem.

If this does not work, it could be because the post of the battery has been forced down inside of the battery. This typically happens when people screw an e-cig battery onto the charger or onto an atomizer too tightly. When charging your manual electric cig batteries, stop screwing the moment the charger light turns red!

If you have one of the new model push button style batteries, it’s also possible that you have inadvertently locked the battery. You can lock or unlock the new manual button batteries by clicking the button rapidly 5-7 times. It will flash a number of times after you do this, indicating that you have locked or unlocked it.

How do I keep my push button e-cig from activating when it is in my pocket?

If you have one of the new Joye 510 batteries, you can “lock” the batteries before putting them into your pocket and they will not activate and drain themselves or, worse, power an attached atomizer. One of these new style Joye 510 batteries can be locked or unlocked by clicking the button rapidly 5-7 times. It will flash a number of times after you do this, indicating that you have succesfully locked (or unlocked) it.
